12:30 PM - December 13 - Office of State Congresswoman Flora Savers State Capitol
Congresswoman Savers staff has received telephone calls from George Sweetwater, Marion Quick-Silver, Gill Netter, and H.G. Hermes. All are interested in making sure that every aspect of the problems associated with mercury contamination in Ramford County get discussed at the State hearing.

Congresswoman Flora Savers is the newly elected representative from Ramford County and serves on the Committee on the Environment in the State Assembly. She will work on the development of the mercury pollution reduction plan for the State and intends to introduce the Bill to in-act the plan after it is formulated.

Ms. Savers is the former Executive Director of Save Our Shores, a coalition of environmental organizations concerned with Ramford River and coastal issues, and has good working relations with all the groups that contacted her office. Her staff have arranged a conference call with all concerned at 4:00 PM.
