Mr. Isiah Nuthen, Director of the Governor’s Office of Information announces that the State legislature will hold a hearing before developing a mercury pollution reduction plan for the State.

The hearing is aimed at gathering available information on:

  • mercury pollution’s impact on the State’s ecosystems, public health, and tourism/recreation industries
  • the current sources of mercury pollution; and
  • the mitigation and source reduction plans to reduce environmental exposure to mercury.
