Dr. Chester Plura, MD, is a plumonologist, with a long time practice in the neighborhood of the Johns Ramville Plant, has many patients with lung disease.  He has recently noticed a startling elevation of mesothelioma not only in former plant workers but in others in the neighborhood who never worked in the plant.  He has asked the State Health Department for a full investigation.  Commissioner (Dr.) Amwell Now has left the Department of Health to become the Surgeon General and has been replaced by Commissioner (Dr.) Robert "Kick" Femur.   Even after being presented with data finding statistically valid elevated levels of mesothelioma in residents, the Health Department refuses to seek assistance from the DEP to determine if there is any continued exposure from the site.  Commissioner Robert "Kick" Femur's response is that such an investigation would be a waste of time and resources, since any exposure was long in the past.
