Conclusion

Are each of the renewable energy technologies reviewed in this Webquest ready for prime time?  Are there significant technical hurdles that still need to be overcome for any of the technologies that would make you believe they should not be promoted by the State?  Do you think NJ has provided sufficient mechanisms to achieve its Energy Master Plan and Renewable Portfolio Standard goals and mandates?  Has the State provided a proper framework for commercial producers of renewable energy to conduct economically successful and sustainable business?  Can you suggest some novel market inducements that could lead to a more rapid adoption of renewable energy usage at each level of government, business and residential consumers?

Do you think that businesses producing abundant net sustainable energy at their site can support the goals of the NJ Energy Master Plan, and still run a profitable business? Should the State provide networking to join net producers to interested businesses looking to replace fossil energy with power purchase agreements for sustainable energy at their facilities?  Can you suggest any modifications to the NJBPU regulations of electric providers and suppliers that might further support and promote the wide scale use of renewable energy by consumers?  While New Jersey leads the nation in adopting aggressive public policies that promote the use of renewable power, it desires to stay out in front – do you have any suggestions for what their next steps ought to be?
