1. What are PCBs? What are the sources? What are the uses?

2. Where are the high concentrations of PCBs found in the Ramford River? Are there changes in concentrations with time?

3. What are the technologies available for dredging?

4. What are the technologies available for treatment of the contaminated sediments?

5. What are the best methods of disposal of the treated sediments?

6. How should remediation be conducted in order not to increase the risk of exposure?

Each team will be responsible for:

A. Preparing written answers to the guiding questions listed above;

B. One team member will synthesize the information into the three minute argument that will support your consulting company’s position in the debate (emphasis on questions 2-6);

C. One team member will synthesize the information into the two minute rebuttal that will support your consulting company’s position in the debate.
