Ms. Perdont and Ms. Rao had previously alerted the press that they would be making an announcement after the meeting. They state their proposal to re-introduce the use of DDT to a throng of reporters and TV cameras waiting outside the DOH offices.
Mr. Moss and Ms Ping-Crane state their opposition to the proposal to the same group of press in the strongest language possible.
Mr. Isiah Nuthen from the Governor's Office of Information tells the press that the County, State, and Federal government have no position on the proposal to re-introduce DDT at the present time; but, they will give it serious attention.
