Process - Green Design Subcommittee
- What is green design? In what ways is green design a form of sustainability?
- What is LEED, what are its main considerations and how are they important?
- Compare present day (non-green) building on campus to green designed building
- Prepare a green design plan and check list for:
- a new building on campus
- an existing building retrofit
- Explain the ways that green campus building can be good campus building.
Your subcommittee must submit your detailed answers in writing to your instructor.
Your subcommittee will make a 15 minute presentation to the Campus Climate Solutions Committee (your class). The presentation must include:
- The information that will be included in written proposal and the presentation to your president.
- Three recommendations to reduce campus heat-trapping gasses for inclusion in the proposal and presentation to your president.
After all subcommittees have reportJune 27, 2008 8:59 PMe proposal and the 30 minute presentation for your president.
