HISTORY
Save our Shores (SOS) is a non-profit organization,
formed on the first Earth Day in 1980 by a number of
groups and individuals concerned about the effects of
development pressure and pollution on the river and
coastal shores of Ramford County. Save our Shores was
founded to increase public awareness of the value of
the shore lines in Ramford, to bring new and important
scientific facts about aquatic ecology to public
attention, and to urge federal, state and local
governments to strengthen policies and programs
to protect river and coastal ecosystems and habitats.
**** SAVE OUR SHORES is a FICTICIOUS
group based on three existing environmental
organizations; The American Littoral Society, The
Coast Alliance, and Clean Ocean Action. Please visit
their web sites if you wish to learn about REAL
activities.
