Ann
Pere-Wattage has
hired your environmental consulting firm as her team of
experts to present the case AGAINST “the closing
of downtown Ramford to vehicular traffic” in the debate
which will take place in September.
The
Ramford Olympic Bid Committee has set the format of the
debate: each team will prepare and present a THREE MINUTE
argument in support of their major positions and a TWO
MINUTE rebuttal. A
FIVE MINUTE summation reiterating the most important
points made by team members will be given by the team
coordinator. Arguments
must be made about the following FIVE MAJOR ISSUES.

The
extent of the potential Ozone/air quality problem in the
City of Ramford.

The
possible routes and effects of exposure to Ozone for
children and adults in the City.

The
risks of exposure to Ozone for humans and other animals.
-
Strategies
for reduction of exposure to Ozone including cost (short
and long term).
-
The
available technologies for remediation and strategies for
education and reduction of exposure.
