Ulster County Environmental Management Commission

Rick Fritschler is the head of Ulster County Environmental Management Commission, Project Director for the US EPA Lower Esopus Creek Wetlands/Watershed Planning Demonstration Project, and co-chair of the Southeast New York Intergovernmental Water Supply Advisory Council's Education/Public Information Committee. He brings strong administrative and coordinating abilities to the program. His area of expertise is the development of community based collaborative partnerships. He has a life long committment to the environment and a background in environmental interpretation and field research.

Joanne Dayton is a biology and earth sciences teacher at Kingston High School, she was a participant in the summer 1997 (RST)2 program at UCCC. She has continued her GIS training with credit bearing programs at UCCC. She has professional experience as an assistant director of an EPA certified waterquality laboratory. She is currently an assistant director on the Lower Esopus Creek Project.

Dixon Onderdonk is a biology and environmental science teacher at Kingston High School, he was a participant in the Summer 1997 (RST)2 program at UCCC. He is currently the President of Lower Esopus River Watch and the Kingston coordinator for Learn and Serve America. Dixon has an extensive background in stream studies and macroinvertebrate study. Dixon has exceptional skills in bridging between formal and non-formal educators and is comfortable in both worlds.
