Ontime is meeting with Aviola Branchiole Executive Director of BREATH.
Aviola is
very excited to have the Superintendent and the Principal’s Association join
BREATH’s efforts to ban traffic in the downtown area. They have the support of several environmental and health
groups in the County as well as many community groups who live downtown and send
their children to many of the effected schools. The principal’s support will
most likely increase community involvement in this issue.
Aviola
believes that BREATH should approach the Ramford Winter Olympic Bid Committee
with their plan. Ramford is
preparing to make a presentation to host the Winter Olympics in 2008. Aviola is on the Olympic Bid Committee and understands that
their proposal would be affected by any change in traffic patterns in downtown
Ramford.
